Life in Japan – Year 2 Day 209 (05-10-08)
Short entry about Saturday.
I woke up to the sound of rain. This was sad, as this would foul up my laundry, but I figured I'd just have to get on with it. So, I did. I started laundry and cleaning and then my parents called and we had a delightful discussion. My sister has gotten her scholarship for seminary, but she didn't get a job change. So, she doesn't know what to do. She'd applied to be a resident director at her college, to change from her current job of school councilor/ cattle wrangler (she's one of those people who runs around to various schools and tries to get people to come to her school). So, she's conflicted – she has a free ride to seminary but she doesn't have a job that will allow her to go to school. So… confict!
Because I haven't used it for three weeks, I put away my heater and I got down the dehydrator. I got the dehydrator mostly because of the laundry – the rain was making it humid in my apartment, and since I had to hang up my clothes inside, it was taking forever for them to get dry, even with my fan on them. So I got the dehydrator down and turned it on and it went at full blast all day long. But it did help – the clothes started drying more quickly.
Because of the rain I stayed in all day, and I didn't do anything at all. Except vacuum and do laundry. So it's a boring entry for today. Sorry.
